My portrait sessions this week have generated many different emotions. I started the week with a NILMDTS call for a family who lost their baby girl at 34 weeks due to a cord accident. I grieved for strangers who soon became greatful recipients of the gift of remembrance photos. My next shoot was of a lovely family of girls ready to do a portrait for their Father's Day gift. What a joy it was to work with this family again. They first came into my life three months ago as a grieving, yet hopeful family to a newborn with trisomy eighteen that only had two months of life within her. Today, I finally had the opportunity to meet one of my husband's co-workers, an Austin firefighter, and his family. They are also living each day searching for hope as they await the arrival of a 30 week in gestation, baby girl. They have been told that nothing can save this baby within or outside of the womb. We are all hoping and praying for a miracle. In the meantime, I'd like to give them a glimpse of the beauty of life that surrounds them in each other! I hope you all enjoyed this session as much as I did.
